Louth Museum, Take a Virtual Interactive Tour Through History

The Brief

Louth Museum approached Scape360 following a recommendation to help commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Louth Floods. We were tasked with recreating a ‘digital twin’ of the facility to ensure during the COVID-19 Pandemic that the Museum could keep its doors open ‘virtually’ which allowed the audience to be immersed within the Museum enabling viewers to gain an insight into the history of Louth, Lincolnshire.

Results

An interactive, immersive & engaging digital twin of the Museum was created in full 4K High Definition, presented online and integrated seamlessly within Louth Museum’s website. Currently, the tour to date has received on average of 170 views on a weekly basis, accessible directly from the Museum’s website.

“We chose Scape360, and have been delighted with the choice. They 3D Scanned the whole museum and created data points where specific information and photos were to be added. They were efficient, helpful and pleasant to work with, and helped us understand the system. In the days after the filming we refined the input for the data points, and then Scape360 collaborated with our IT manager to incorporate the Virtual Tour into our website. We are very pleased with the result.”
